Steve brings 20+ years of experience in real estate management and acquisition to real estate brokerage here in Maine. Steve’s focus as a real estate broker is identifying and developing underserved markets in southern Maine especially in Kittery, Eliot, The Berwicks and York. His work with first time home buyers is especially rewarding.
Prior to becoming a licensed real estate broker in Maine, Steve was a longtime owner/broker of a real estate firm in northern Vermont. Though his focus is residential he started his real estate career as Director of Field Facilities for the National Life Insurance Company with the responsibility of obtaining and managing commercial real estate for the company in 50 states for the company’s sales operations. Steve also worked with the Central Vermont Land Trust’s as an instructor for the Land Trust’s NeighborWorks homebuyer readiness program. He continues that initiative here in Maine as he has developed two comprehensive real estate readiness programs through three adult education programs in the greater York area. He teaches home seller readiness and buyer readiness classes through the Kittery and Marshwood Adult Education Programs. He also presents these programs at the York Senior Center.
Professional development is especially important to Steve. He earned a Real Property Administrator’s designation through the Building Owners and Managers Institute during his career in corporate real estate. He went on to earn a Certified Buyer’s Representative designation which gave greater insight to buyer representation.
As a volunteer, Steve currently serves on the land acquisition committee for the York Land Trust. He has served in several capacities in town government, especially as a Selectboard member and downtown revitalization efforts as well as a member of workforce development board. He has been involved in many roles for the Vermont Association of Realtors and serves on the York County Council of the Maine Association of Realtors as a Trustee and Vice President. He is also serving as a board member for the Maine Association of Realtors. He is currently President Elect of the Rotary Club of Kittery
Steve is a graduate of Johnson State College in Johnson, Vermont with a degree in small business management. He and his wife, Kathryn, enjoy living in York.
